| 1932 | ENGELMANN Drahtseilfabrik GmbH, Hanover, founded in 1875. Since the early 80s, this company has grown into one of the leading fine rope manufacturers in the whole of Europe. |
| 1934 | DRAHTSEILWERK GmbH, Bremerhaven, for decades the focus was the manufacture of rope for fishing vessels. |
| 1939 | WADRA GmbH, Dortmund, which had been founded in 1933 under the name Wambeler Drahtseilerei Busse & Co. KG. For many years, the chief market was the sale of rope for mining. |
| 1974 | Erwin Reinecke died. The business was run by Lydia Reinecke until her death in 1989. Today, the company is under the ownership of the “Erwin Reinecke Foundation”. All the subsidiaries belong 100 percent to Wilhelm vom Hofe Drahtwerke GmbH. |
| 1994 | FRÖNDENBERGER Drahtwerk GmbH, Fröndenberg, founded as “Union Sils van de Loo”. Originally, the wire factory was just one department which produced spoke and hub axle wires for its own requirements. This product range perfectly complemented our business in Altena. |
| 1997 | RSM Heitfeld Putz- und Bautechnik Vertriebs- und Beratungs-GmbH, Troisdorf. Since the end of the 1950s, Wilhelm vom Hofe Drahtwerke GmbH has had a production department in Troisdorf, producing ribbed expanded metals. In 1997, Heitfeld GmbH in Cologne (responsible for sales) and the largest competitor RSM Rippenstreckmetallgesellschaft in Hilchenbach were both taken over. |
| 2005 | Foundation of Wilhelm vom Hofe Vermögens- und Beteiligungs-GmbH. The firm is a holding company that owns all of the subsidiaries. |
